I need a good title for this poem....just can't seem to come up with a good one! Please leave a comment if you feel so inclined, thank you so much!!
The moon rose –
Silently –
Like a specter –
On silver threads above a barren landscape.
The still wind shivered
In the bare skeletons
Of petrified trees,
And wandered through the
Dry stalks of sun-parched grasses.
Far over to the west lay a
Restless sea
Which spun silver flecks of foam
Under the hooded sky.
Then the shrouds of vaporous mist
Rose slowly from the bubbling marshes
And wrapped themselves around
The world.
(A big thank-you to my friend Cindy Springsteen for helping me come up with the title...World At Time's End)
